Our first visit from the tooth fairy!

I can't believe I have a son old enough to be losing teeth! He came running in from his bedroom yesterday afternoon saying "my mouth is bleeding!" and then he tossed his tooth onto the counter. We jumped up and down and hi-fived a couple times. And then this morning when he woke up he was so excited to find that there was a note from the toothfairy, sprinkled with glitter, and TWO quarters under his pillow! I love this age, where there is so much belief in magic.

And I love that the magical beliefs are intertwined with their faith, at this point. It's all the same to them. To illustrate: the other day the kids were talking about some cool new toy that they wanted to get. Tucker said, "We'll have to write to Santa for that!" and Olivia responded with the most honest reply, "How about if we just ask Heavenly Father!" Obviously, a prayer can be answered now, but Christmas isn't until December! :)

Thanks for putting me on your blog roll. That's so nice! I'm also glad you liked the Glimpses piece; there's so much great Mormon film/drama history (as you know) that hasn't got the attention it deserves. Your kids are huge and adorable, and I can't ever tell Carol you got to go to the Bahamas. We've still got just the one, Loretta, who's four and a half and starting her own legitimate preschool tomorrow. She's been in an 8-5 daycare for the past year, though, so she's all excited for the big school. Workwise, I'm submitting spec scripts to preschool shows like Wonder Pets and Sesame Street (hence the blog) and Carol would like to start teaching Pilates and dancing again. But we're both in day jobs that pay the bills but have nothing to do with our actual careers. We love New York and plan to stay around permanently, provided we can navigate the school system. I guess we need a personal blog to put up pictures, etc. But it's great to hear from you--please say hi to Dan from us.
